This idea of a collaborative rental space for inventors and hobbyists has caught hold in education, where the informal combination of lab, shop, and conference room form an interesting infrastructure for learning through hands-on exploration.<\/p>\n

The shop is equipped with proper tools and machines so that just about any project can be realized for prototypes, inventions, work projects and equipment.<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Our Maker Space is paid for from sponsorship, membership fees and donations. We require subscriptions to function and expand. We also need to cover basic monthly costs and invest in tools and consumables for the members of the Makerspace. If you\u2019d would like to become a member, contact us or see us in person or drop into our discussion group.<\/p>\n

In all cases MIY is open to the public for free but consumables are charged extra. There are 3 types of membership for use of the facilities, tools and machines.<\/p>\n
