Procedure and modalities for coaching
The first interview makes it possible to define the request, set the objectives, the areas for progress and the practical modalities.
The following sessions focus on skills development. The person or coaching team works on the basis of concrete professional situations. By relying on her personal resources and with the help of the coach, she gradually moves towards the desired goals and the resolution of her problem.
Each meeting lasts 1 to 2 hours and ends with an assessment of prior learning. At the end of the coaching, an overall assessment makes it possible to grasp the progress made.
Such support usually takes place over a period of 3 to 8 months, it takes 8 to 12 sessions depending on the situation and the defined objectives.

But what is coaching?
For us, coaching is a process of accompaniment by a trained professional who is committed to helping his client to define an objective(s), and then to set up the follow-up during the start-up phase of this objective(s). Coming from systems and performance management (among others), we owe the very term “coaching” to John Whitmore (1937-2017), who, after a career as a racing driver, trained as a psychologist. It is to him that we owe the notion of “Performance Coaching”. A few years later, Vincent Lenhardt was the first in France to offer coaching training within his college (1988).
